Here are some of our tips …
Condos and homes rarely provide enough lighting, adding new chandeliers to set the mood can add to your style while providing much need illumination. Adding floor and table lamps help create different moods and spreads the light around the room which can create a more expansive space. There are many great options to explore if you become overwhelmed give us a call. We can help you out.
Exposed Leg Furniture
Large scale upholstery with exposed legs works best in a small space. This allows for airflow and sight lines from below; adding this important design detail prevents the area from looking too closed off or too small.
Surprisingly, using dark colours on the wall can make a room look larger by adding depth to the room. The right deep colour creates a colour story, bringing interest and warmth to any space.
When it comes to drapery you can’t beat custom for getting exactly what you are looking for and the right amount of fabric. Hanging custom drapery as high as possible instantly heightens the room.
Less is More
Larger scale accessories and artwork add to the illusion of a larger room. Smaller items tend to increase clutter in a room and make it look smaller. It’s amazing what a difference a few changes can make!
To create the illusion of larger rooms we used movement in the furniture and artwork. Using larger scale artwork can add to the illusion that your space is larger than it is.

Finding the right design elements and layouts to create the perfect room isn’t as easy as it looks, especially when you’re dealing with a small space. Luckily, there are a few tricks of the trade that can help make a small space look larger.
